Sutton United and Colchester United are looking to build form away from the relegation zone in this game with the home side sitting in last place of the Football League where the U's are only a few positions higher.
Colchester have managed to move out of the relegation zone with three wins in a row in League Two recently. This run started with a 3-2 win over Grimsby Town, as Joe Taylor, Zach Mitchell and Arthur Read all scored a goal each. The U's then went on to beat Accrington Stanley away from home with a finish from Josh Taylor once more, while Samson Tovide and Noah Chilvers scored in the win over Swindon Town during the week.
A 3-2 loss to League One's Shrewsbury Town would come soon after where Zach Mitchell and Cameron McGeehan scored a goal each. Nevertheless, form against League One teams is excellent right now, and Colchester have scored 25 times already - only Salford City and Newport County have more in the lower half of League Two. The club also sit nine points above Sutton, but with nine wins, there is still a lot of work to do.
As for Sutton, they merely need to get a win on the board after racking up just their third win from 16 games last time out when they defeated Bradford City with a goal each from Harry Beautyman and Matty Jay. They went on to match this 2-1 result by beating Fylde by the same scoreline.
On the other hand, with 12 wins already from 16 matches and just one draw, they have the worst record in the league and sit down in 24th with a gap of three points to get out of the bottom two. They've also conceded 36 goals in 16 matches, and no team in the Football League has a worse record.
Simply put, Colchester are in much better form right now and Sutton are the worst team in the Football League. This should bring in one winner.
