Crawley welcome Walsall to Broadfield this weekend with the club still down in the bottom three and staring in the face of the drop if they can not better the results of those below them in the league table.
Crawley are now sitting six points clear of Hartlepool United in 23rd, and with Rochdale already relegated in 24th place, it means just one more point is needed from next six points. In fact, Crawley can even lose their last two games and still stay up, as Hartlepool are behind the club by just six goals following on from their terrible record of 76 let in.
It was a must-win game for both Crawley and Hartlepool when they met last week, and the winner was likely to stay up. Dom Telford bagged a brace with a goal in either half, and Crawley are now all but guaranteed to stay up.
Walsall were stunned by Salford after it looked like they could grab a point when Connor Wilkinson scored in the 95th minute before a Salford winner two minutes later. Jamile Matt also scored in the second half to equalise at the time. This now also means three losses in a row for the club.
Walsall are sitting 17th and although they are on just 51 points and sitting with the same points as the relegation fighters Crawley, they have been clear from the drop zone for the majority of 2023. They have, however, drawn 18 times already this season.
It's set to be a close game, but there is still a lot on the line for Crawley.
