For our Doncaster vs. Crewe prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the home side.
Two sides in poor form meet in League Two this weekend as Doncaster Rovers face Crewe Alexandra.
Doncaster Rovers currently sit 12th in League Two with fifteen wins, six draws and seventeen losses from thirty-eight games this season.
Rovers have had an entirely mediocre campaign in England's fourth tier this season having failed to seriously threaten the top seven places while staying well clear of the relegation zone all the while.
They enter this game amidst a poor run of form having won one, drawn one and lost three of their last five matches.
Most recently Doncaster fell to a comfortable 0-2 loss at home to Northampton Town, a result that while understandable given Northampton's league position it continues to pile upon Doncaster's misery.
Their form at home hasn't been particularly impressive either, with Rovers winning two and losing three of their last five games on home soil.
Doncaster need a win to help improve the spirits of the fanbase and a home game against Crewe is one of the more winnable fixtures in the league's calendar. It won't do much to affect their overall season given it's pretty much over but it will at least improve the mood around the club.
Crewe Alexandra currently sit 19th in League Two with nine wins, fifteen draws and thirteen losses from thirty-seven games this season.
Crewe's campaign has been nothing short of a major disappointment. Newley relegated from League One, Crewe have not looked remotely close to being a side capable of pushing for the play-offs, instead ending up a team closer to the relegation scrap.
They enter this game in poor form having lost their last three consecutive matches while winning just one of their last eight.
Their most recent game saw them fall to a deflating 2-1 loss way at Gillingham.
Crewe's away from has been abysmal, with The Alex failing to win any of their last ten matches on the road.
These two sides drew 1-1 when they met in the league back in October and given the form of the two sides a similar result here would not be unexpected.
Crewe are lucky in that Rochdale and Hartlepool have been so bad, otherwise they would find themselves deep in the relegation scrap. As such, a ten point cushion should see them to the finish line but it's not impossible that things end in a nervy manner.
