Wimbledon are looking to keep up their stunning run of form this weekend when they meet with Mansfield in search of top spot in League Two where the men from Field Mill are once again putting together another march towards the top seven.
Mansfield were unfortunate not to earn promotion to League One last season, but just like the last campaign, Nigel Clough's side are once again proving to be a handful for anyone coming their way.
Ahead of this hosting of Wimbledon, Mansfield have drawn 0-0 with Wrexham during the week and this was the third draw in regular time in a row after a 1-1 clash with Gillingham too and a 0-0 draw with Peterborough United in the EFL Cup first round - Mansfield won that game on penalties, however, and now meet with Port Vale in the round of 16 and there is a genuine chance Clough's side can get into the quarter-finals.
Back in the league, Mansfield are also on four wins from 11 games and they remain the only side yet to lose a game in League Two, although this has seen the club draw seven times too.
The club drew with Wrexham during the week, playing out a fairly dull and lacklustre 0-0 game. What's more, they would draw 1-1 with Gillingham before this but they did claim wins over Accrington Stanley and Barrow during September after draws with Bradford City and Colchester United. Oddly enough, the EFL Cup game towards the end of August also saw Mansfield draw but beat Sheffield Wednesday on penalties.
As for Wimbledon, it's been their best start to a League Two campaign since facing relegation a few seasons back. The Dons are currently sitting up in second after a 1-0 win way to Harrogate where Omar Bugiel netted another goal in what is turning out to be a fantastic campaign for him once more.
Wimbledon have only managed to lose one game this League Two season, although with just 10 goals let in from 11 matches, they are the second-best defensive side behind, oddly enough, Mansfield. With 20 goals scored too, 10 of those have come in the past four games with a draw at home to Crewe Alexandra and a win away to Walsall before returning back home with a 4-1 win.
