MK Dons host Forest Green this weekend, with the hosts the heavy favourites to pick up all three points. The Dons did the double over the Green Devils last season in League One.
MK Dons
The Dons have been excellent recently, and they’re now unbeaten in their last five matches in League Two. They’re placed 13th after 19 games, despite playing two fewer games than some of the teams around them. MK Dons have also scored the eighth most goals in the league per game, with an average of 1.63.
They are prone to conceding, however, suffering 1.42 goals per game. We saw this last time out in League Two, when they drew 1-1 with Grimsby.
Forest Green
The Green Devils have struggled in League Two this season, failing to win any of their last four. They’re currently second from bottom with 15 points from 19 matches. Their biggest issue is in front of goal, scoring just 20 goals all season, but they don’t excel defensively either, conceding 35.
Forest Green are yet to play a game in the league in December, but their most recent League Two match was a 3-0 home defeat to Bradford. The hosts had more of the ball, but they were extremely vulnerable on the break.
Verdict?
MK Dons have won four of their nine home games, and Forest Green have won two of their eight away games. This game will be close, but the hosts should edge it.
The final prediction is MK Dons 2-0 Forest Green.
