For our Walsall vs. Sutton prediction, we're going for a 1-0 win for the away side.
Sutton United's continue to pursue their faint play-off hopes as they face Walsall in League Two this weekend.
Walsall currently sit 13th in League Two with eleven wins, sixteen draws and eleven losses from thirty-eight games this season.
Despite once threatening to make a run at the play-off spots, Walsall's season has ultimately been both underwhelming and forgettable as they look nailed on to limp towards an unremarkable mid-table finish.
They enter this game amidst a fairly poor run of form having won just one of their last five matches, drawing two and losing two of the other four.
Their most recent game saw them fall to a disappointing 2-0 defeat away at an out of form AFC Wimbledon side, a defeat that more or less sums up Walsall's season.
Their home form is not great either, with The Saddlers having won one, drawn three and lost one of their last five games on home soil.
Walsall effectively have nothing to play for at this stage and that could well affect their results in a negative manner. Time will tell but they're not looking in good shape coming into this one.
Sutton United currently sit 9th in League Two with fifteen wins, eleven draws and twelve losses from thirty-eight games this season.
Sutton have had a pretty solid season thus far in League Two and it would end up even better if they manage to secure a play-off spot from the final run of games from here until May.
Unfortunately, though, things aren't looking promising as they enter this game having won just one of their last five matches, drawing three and losing one of their other four.
Their most recent game saw them forced to settle for a point in a dull 0-0 draw away at Mansfield Town.
Their form away from home is more encouraging though, with Sutton winning two and drawing three of their last five games on the road having conceded just two goals in that period while keeping four clean sheets.
These two sides drew 1-1 when they met back in October and this game is likely shaping up to be similarly competitive.
However, if either side is going to win it it feels like it would be Sutton given they're chasing a play-off berth and have to make up a gap of five points. With Walsall's season all but over we think Sutton could steal a big three point here.
