Two mid-table sides face off in Ligue 1 this weekend as Montpellier take on Nice.
Montpellier currently sit 12th in Ligue 1 with fourteen wins, five draws and seventeen losses from thirty-six games this season.
It's been a fairly forgettable campaign for a Montpellier side that have rarely threatened to progress beyond mid-table without ever being dragged into the relegation battle.
They're coming into this game in solid form, however, having won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five matches, the most recent of which was a 3-0 win away at Nantes.
While this late run of form is too little too late in terms of achieving anything meaningful this season, they'll hope that this run is foreshadowing what is to come next season as they now look to build towards the next campaign.
Their form at home has also been strong of late too, where Montpellier have also won three of their last five matches.
They're clearly looking to end the campaign in the strongest way possible and they're coming about that in the correct way.
This is a tough test for Montpellier but given their recent form they'll fancy themselves for three points here.
Nice currently sit 9th in Ligue 1 with thirteen wins, thirteen draws and ten losses from thirty-six games this season.
Nice have had a fairly mediocre campaign having failed to build on last season's 5th place finish as they now look set to sail towards a forgettable mid-table finish.
They enter this game amidst a mixed run of form having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five matches.
Their most recent encounter saw them held to a drab 0-0 draw against Toulouse.
Their form away from home has been a concern in recent weeks too, with Nice having won just one of their last seven on the road while losing two of their last three.
Nice battered Montpellier 6-1 when the two sides met back in January so the away side will jo doubt be looking to exact revenge for that humiliating defeat.
Nice are higher in the league table than their opponents but this is looking like it could be a tough game for the away side.
For our Montpellier vs. Nice prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the home side.
