Crystal Palace vs Everton Prediction

Everton will be confident of getting a result against Crystal Palace, having not lost to the Eagles since March 2022, meaning that the Toffees are on an eight game unbeaten run in this fixture.

Palace are in decent form though, so expect them to find the back of the net, as they have done in each of their last five outings (nine goals in their last five games). Everton are also in good form in front of goal, as Moyes’ side have fired in 10 goals in their last four league games.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-2 Everton

Crystal Palace vs Everton Prediction & Preview

12th-place Crystal Palace goes head-to-head with 15th-place Everton at Selhurst Park in Saturday night’s late Premier League kick-off.

Date: 15/02/2025

Location: Selhurst Park

Time: 5:30pm

When these two sides last met on 28th September, Everton ran out as 2-1 winners thanks to a brace by Dwight McNeil after Marc Guehi had given Palace a 1-0 lead after just ten minutes.

The Eagles are having another solid campaign under Oliver Glasner, despite losing talismanic figure Michael Olise to Bayern Munich in the summer. Palace sit on 30 points from 24 matches despite starting the league season off in poor fashion, as they actually won just one of their first 13 games.

Glasner has managed to oversee some good performances in cup competitions, as Palace made it to the quarter-finals of the League Cup, but, suffered a 3-2 loss away at Arsenal having previously progressed past Aston Villa (2-1), QPR (2-1) and Norwich City (4-0).

In the FA Cup, the Eagles have been drawn up to face Millwall in the Fifth Round, having advanced past Doncaster Rovers (2-0) and Stockport County (1-0) in previous rounds.

Similarly, Everton had a poor start to the season, but, have recently picked up points, mainly down to their managerial change, having sacked Sean Dyche and re-signed David Moyes, with the Scotsman making an emotional return to the Toffees after 10 and a half years away.

Under Dyche, the Toffees managed to win just three of their 19 Premier League games during the current campaign, seeing them sit just one point above the relegation zone. Since then, Moyes has brought a more progressive style of play, having earned ten points from his first five league matches in charge, doubling Everton’s win count in the process.

The Toffees will be solely focussing on the Premier League, having exited the FA Cup in the Fourth Round to Bournemouth (2-0), while in the League Cup, Everton were knocked out by Southampton on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace are on a solid run of form, as they have won four of their last five matches, having most recently beaten Doncaster Rovers 2-0 in the FA Cup thanks to goals by Daniel Munoz and Justin Devenny.

In the Premier League, the Eagles have managed impressive wins over Manchester United (2-0), West Ham United (2-0) and Leicester City (2-0) while losing 2-1 at home to Brentford on 26th January.

Everton

Everton played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in the last-ever Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, as James Tarkowski smashed in a thunderous volley in the 98th-minute of the game to rescue the Toffees a point.

Prior to that game, David Moyes’ side had suffered a 2-0 FA Cup defeat to AFC Bournemouth after superb Premier League wins over Leicester City (4-0), Brighton & Hove Albion (1-0) and Tottenham Hotspur (3-2).
