Nottingham Forest vs. Newcastle Prediction, Tips & Stats

For our Nottingham Forest vs. Newcastle prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.

Two sides with contrasting ambitions face off in the Premier League this weekend as Nottingham Forest face Newcastle United.

Nottingham Forest currently sit 14th in the Premier League with six wins, eight draws and twelve losses from twenty-six games this season.

The Reds are having an up and down yet successful campaign in the Premier League this season as they find themselves outside of the relegation zone while still being under serious threat regarding relegation.

They enter this game amidst a tough run of form, however, having failed to win any of their last five league matches, drawing two and losing three.

Their most recent game saw them fall to a comprehensive 3-1 defeat away at Tottenham Hotspur.

Forest's away form is a huge concern with Steve Cooper's men winning only once on the road in the league this season while scoring only four times in thirteen matches.

The relegation battle is intensely tight in the Premier League and Forest have to be wary that a continuation of their current poor run of form could easily see them slide into the bottom three.

They've also been rocked by a recent injury to star forward Brennan Johnson, and if that injury keeps the striker out for an extended period of time it could be fatal for their survival chances.

As far as this game is concerned, Forest are generally strong at home and are unbeaten in their last nine league games on home soil and while Newcastle are one of the league's tougher opponents they should give them a run for their money.

Newcastle United currently sit 5th in the Premier League with eleven wins, eleven draws and three losses from twenty-five games this season.

The Magpies are having a fine campaign in the Premier League as they chase Champions League qualification in the final stretch of this season.

They enter this game amidst a fairly poor run of form overall having won one, drawn one and lost three of their last five games in all competitions, but having won their most recent game they'll be hoping to get back on track following a blip in their form.

Newcastle beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 last time out following goals from Alexander Isak and Miguel Almiron so having bounced back following a three-match losing streak they're in a fairly healthy place entering this game.

Their away record in the Premier League hasn't been brilliant, though, with Eddie Howe's side winning only one of their last five league games on the road.

The Magpies are four points outside of the top four with two games in hand over Tottenham Hotspur in 4th and have a huge opportunity to secure Champions League football for next season. It's going to be tough, but a win here is a must.
