Wolves are hoping to pick up a big win in the Premier League this weekend as they take on Southampton.

- Location: St Mary's Stadium, Southampton
Southampton currently sit bottom of the Premier League with nine points from 28 games. The Saints have had am awful campaign and the fans, as well as the players, will be desperately willing it to end.
The concern around the club will be that they might potentially set a new record for the fewest points collected in a single campaign, beating Derby's long-standing record of just 11 points. With ten games left to play, they have plenty of time to pick up two more points, but given they've taken four points from their last 15 games, three of which were against Ipswich, they could be in trouble.
This game, on paper, is one of the best opportunities they have to pick up points before the end of the season, so there will be a decent amount of pressure on the side to win this game, despite it having no bearing on whether or not they stay up.
When the two sides met earlier in the season, Wolves ran out 2-0 winners, so Southampton will know that gaining three points from this one will be a task. Should they lose, then the prospect of a sub-11 point finish is looking ominous.
Wolverhampton Wanderers are currently 17th in the Premier League with 23 points from 28 games. Wolves' season hasn't been much better than that of Southampton, but fortunately for them, the three newly promoted sides are so poor that they'll likely be able to stay up with a record low points total. Nottingham Forest survived with 32 points last season, but there's a good chance that fewer than 30 points will be enough for survival.
Wolves will be hoping they can spend the remainder of the campaign building towards next season, as they'll want to avoid being in another (sort of) relegation battle. Their biggest hurdle to improvement next season will be keeping hold of forward Matheus Cunha, who is reportedly highly coveted by a number of big clubs.
Since manager Vítor Pereira was appointed, Wolves have improved, but it's hard to say they've shown the signs of a team that's ready to take a huge leap next season. They need to show more in the final couple of months of the season, and they need to be taking three points from a game against the side bottom of the league.
