Spain will look to secure top spot against Georgia this Sunday in Group A with the 2008 and 2012 European champions already qualified for yet another finals over in Germany next summer with Georgia down and out for a while.
Scotland and Spain have secured the top two spots at Euro 2024 from this group, and this puts Georgia down in fourth and with only two wins, three losses and 15 goals conceded from the seven matches. They can, however, still finish above Norway in third, should Georgia win here and Scotland defeat the Norwegians at Hampden Park.
Georgia faced off against the qualified Scots last time out, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was once again the hero as a goal in either half earned them a point and gave him his 13th and 14th goals for his country. On the other hand, an equaliser from Scotland in the dying embers of the game forced a draw and further disappointment for the country.
As for Spain, they smashed Georgia 7-1 in the last meeting between these two sides, and they only have that loss to Scotland in Edinburgh to deal with.
