What a potentially exciting game we have to look forward to in Group F as the Netherlands take on Sweden.
The Dutch lead the head-to-head record between these two nations, picking up three wins, two draws and one defeat from their six previous encounters. The Netherlands claimed a 2-0 win when these two countries last locked horns in 2017, in a World Cup qualifying match.
Despite taking the lead in a tricky opening group match against Japan, the Netherlands were pegged back twice and had to settle for a share of the spoils even though they were the better side by far.
Sweden thrashed Tunisia 5-1 in their opening game, causing manager Sabri Lamouchi to be sacked. The Swedes were given a massive helping hand in this game by a very generous Tunisian defence whose performance was abject at best.
Sweden, who failed to win a single game during the group stage of the World Cup qualifiers, have seen each of their last seven international matches end with both teams scoring.
Both teams have also scored in five of the Netherlands' last seven outings, but Ronald Koeman's side went unbeaten during the qualification process, winning six of their eight matches.
Netherlands 2-1 Sweden
