Perhaps the only disappointment from a stellar 2020/21 campaign for Rangers were their struggles throughout the domestic cup competitions.
They were knocked out at the quarter-finals stage in both tournaments, firstly by St Mirren in the Scottish Cup and then by eventual winners, St Johnstone, in the League Cup. These woes added a sour taste to an otherwise impeccable league season, but nevertheless, the aim for the Gers was always to retain the league first and foremost, and now is the time where they can set their sites on finally taking over all of Scotland again.
Outright favourites in all three domestic competitions this season, a League and League Cup double is priced at 13/8 for the Gers, whilst a League and Scottish Cup double is a slightly lengthier 15/8.
Rangers last managed the treble all the way back in 2002/03 and the Scottish champions are fancied to replicate that achievement this year. Priced at a healthy 5/1 to secure the clean sweep, you wouldn’t bet against the Glasgow club pulling it off based off current form.
