3 in, 3 Out for Gameweek 10: Top Four Contenders Out?

Latest News

Out: Ismaila Sarr

It may seem a strange pick on the back of a stellar 5-2 victory away from home for Watford, yet Ismaila Sarr failed to register any attacking returns in the win over Everton and he could face a stint out of the side.

Outshone by an in-form Joshua King, Sarr was hooked on the hour-mark by new boss Claudio Ranieri, with his replacement Emmanuel Dennis coming off the bench to net in added time.

Even if Sarr keeps his spot, Watford’s fixtures look terrifyingly tough, with the Hornets set to face Arsenal, Leicester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City in five of their next six.

Out: Romelu Lukaku

Hands up if you thought Romelu Lukaku would be the jigsaw piece Chelsea were missing? Well, after three months of the season, the Belgian superstar has not yet lived up to expectations.

Romping to a 7-0 victory over bottom-placed Norwich City last weekend, the Blues put on a show for the rest of the league and demonstrated their attacking fluidity.

The talent of Lukaku shouldn’t be underestimated, but as he returns from an ankle injury, don’t be surprised to see his minutes on the pitch reduced over the coming weeks.

Out: Harry Maguire

Will the last person to take Harry Maguire out of their fantasy team please turn the lights off on the way out. There have been few performances less convincing than that of the United captain’s against Liverpool last weekend, as Maguire was the main culprit in a defence that shipped five at home. It’s now just one clean sheet this season for Maguire and United, and if you’re banking on him to pop up with a goal, you can forget that too, as the 28-year-old has netted once in the Premier League since October 2020.

In: Kai Havertz

Kai Havertz owners would’ve been ruing the decision to pick the German on Saturday afternoon, as he failed to score or assist any of Chelsea’s seven against Norwich.Fear not fantasy managers, the good news is Havertz should still come through with a bumper return in the near future, especially given the fact he’s set to continue down the middle for Thomas Tuchel’s side.A midfielder playing as a striker should be enough to convince anyone to transfer Havertz in, yet if you’re still unconvinced, perhaps his average of just under two shots per game should do the trick.

In: Bryan Mbeumo

From one midfielder playing as a forward, to another and Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo should be the next must-have in all fantasy manager’s sides.

Having escaped relatively unscathed from a tricky run of fixtures, the Bees can look forward to a set of winnable fixtures against relegation contenders.

Burnley, Norwich and Newcastle await Thomas Frank’s side in the coming weeks and Mbeumo could bring back a hefty points haul from that trio of games.

In: Maxwel Cornet

Just like Mbeumo, Maxwel Cornet arrived in the Premier League from Ligue 1 and the former Lyon man has already captured the hearts of the Burnley faithful.

Netting twice in the Clarets 2-2 draw against Southampton last weekend, Cornet has shown his worth to Sean Dyche’s side and will likely burden much of their attacking threat.

Whilst he may not be a dead-cert to register returns every week, expect the 25-year-old to add to his impressive tally of three goals in four league matches this season.
