Bournemouth vs Birmingham - Draw & BTTS

Bournemouth host Birmingham on Saturday afternoon in the hope of changing their fortunes after a dismal run of form of late. The Cherries slumped to their fourth defeat in a row in midweek after a last-gasp Jordan Rhodes strike cancelled out Junior Stanislas’ earlier equaliser, prompting the club to part ways with manager Jason Tindall after they slipped further out of contention for automatic promotion.

As for their opponents, this weekend Birmingham, their poor run of form has seen them slip dangerously close to the relegation zone, and should Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham find a route to victory in their games in hand, it could spell danger for the Blues. They were held to a frustrating stalemate away to Wycombe on Tuesday night, and will feel hard done by after dominating in a fixture that presented itself as a must-win in their bid for survival.

With both teams struggling for form, we can see this being closer than some might expect, and we have tipped Birmingham to further dent Bournemouth’s promotion hopes by holding them to a draw here, and both teams to score at 4/1.

Stoke vs Reading - Reading to Win & Lucas Joao to Score

Promotion hopefuls Reading make the trip north to face Stoke City, who find themselves in a poor run of form.
The Potters managed to hold on for a point last weekend after Rhys Norrington-Davies’ first half red card left his side chasing the game. However, it stretched their winless run to seven games in the league and nine games overall in all competitions, which has left the club’s faithful feeling frustrated as they continue to lose ground in the race for a play-off place.

Reading on the other hand breezed past Bournemouth last week to stretch their unbeaten run to six games, which has seen them consolidate their status as a top four team. Lucas Joao netted his 15th of the season to hand the Royals a 3-1 win, and since he returned from injury at the beginning of January, the Portuguese has registered four goals in as many games.

With this in mind, we have tipped him to make it at least five in five and his side to get the victory here at 14/5.

QPR vs Blackburn - Armstrong to Score & Match to End in a Draw

QPR welcome Blackburn Rovers to Loftus Road as they look to continue their improved run of form recently.
The Hoops bounced back from a disappointing defeat to Derby by claiming an impressive win over Watford, courtesy of a last-gasp winner from Albert Adomah. The victory means they have now defeated Luton and Cardiff, as well as drawing with league leaders Norwich in their last five games, so there is certainly a growing optimism at the club.

Meanwhile, Blackburn also find themselves in somewhat of a purple patch after making it four games unbeaten against Luton last time out. Top scorer Adam Armstrong netted his 17th of the season and now sits two behind Brentford’s Ivan Toney in the race for the Golden Boot.

While Blackburn find themselves in a decent run of form, we do think QPR can cause the Riversiders real problems this weekend as we saw against Watford in midweek. With this in mind, we have tipped this fixture to end in a draw, but Armstrong to add to his goal tally by netting here at 15/2.

Forest vs Wycombe - Forest to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1

Nottingham Forest host rock-bottom Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday with the possibility of further distancing themselves from the relegation zone.

Chris Houghton’s side have looked rejuvenated in recent weeks, with victories over Preston, Millwall, and most recently Coventry in midweek lifting them four points above the relegation spots. Despite having less of the ball and registering just one shot on target, Forest will not mind about the manner of their win and will certainly be looking to add another three points this weekend.

It could be another difficult weekend for Wycombe, who have won just three games all season. They will take some positives in managing to hold on for a point against a barrage of Birmingham attacks on Tuesday evening, but we are predicting a home win on Saturday, with Forest winning either 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 at 15/8.

Coventry vs Watford - Watford to Win & Under 2.5 Goals

Watford make the trip to the West Midlands to face Coventry in Saturday’s early kick off, and will be looking to get back to winning ways after consecutive blips in their promotion push.

Coventry have struggled in recent weeks, and their defeat to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night means that they have just two wins in their last 10 games in all competitions. However, there is still a slight gap between them and the relegation zone with five points separating them and Sheffield Wednesday.

As for their opponents this weekend Watford, they will be eager to return to winning ways after a goalless draw against Millwall on matchday 25, before slumping to a disappointing defeat to QPR on Monday night.

However, we do expect Watford to possess too much quality for Coventry this weekend, and we have tipped them to get the win here. Interestingly, in five of the last six games that the Hornets have been victorious, the fixtures have yielded under 2.5 goals, which is why we’ve tipped them to get the win on Saturday and the match to have under 2.5 goals.
