ITV Racing Tips – Friday 6th February 2026 Best Bets for Newcastle

Horse racing action from Newcastle will be televised on ITV4 on Friday, 6th February 2026, as the first event in the Friday Night Live series is staged.

We have gone through the races televised on Friday and have picked out our ITV horse racing tips. You can find our selections, an ITV Racing Accumulator, and the best bookmaker offers here.

17:30 - Newcastle - Concert Boy

Friday Night Live at Newcastle kicks off with a handicap over seven furlongs. Previous course and distance scorer Concert Boy could be back on a handy mark for Katie Scott.

Warmed up for this outing earlier this week when finishing two lengths behind Sea Legend. A smoother passage through the race will see him go closer. Warren Fentiman retains the ride.

18:00 - Newcastle - Good Earth

Likable veteran Good Earth runs off an unchanged mark in the handicap hurdle over five furlongs. The Michael Herrington yard is bang in-form at present, striking at 18%.

Jason Hart is a very notable booking. Has excellent form over five furlongs, and you don’t need to go back too far for his last win on the all-weather (Jan 13). Every chance he puts his no-show last time behind him.

18:30 - Newcastle - D Flawless

D Flawless bounced back to somewhere near her best form last time when beaten under a length off this mark at Southwell. Should still be well-handicapped based on that effort, and she excels over five furlongs on an all-weather surface.

Jason Hart will be aboard, replacing a 5lb claimer from the last day. Entitled to come on from her return, and has each-way claims.

19:00 - Newcastle - Heavenly Heather

Previous course and distance winner Heavenly Heather could be set to go in again for Tracy Waggott.

The five-year-old mare was a commanding performer over course and distance in mid-January, before enduring no luck when fifth of 14 over six furlongs three days later. Has had some recovery time since that last start, and the drop back to five furlongs is a big plus.

19:30 - Newcastle - Candonomore

Candonomore looks like an eye-catching chance on his second start for Stuart Williams.

Ran extremely well on his comeback after a long break over seven furlongs at Southwell last month, beaten not too far. Is on a competitive mark, and has scope for improvement over a mile at Newcastle, having previously finished four lengths clear of the field over seven furlongs last September.

20:00 - Newcastle - Maximising

Maximising could still have plenty of wiggle room in his mark. He was an excellent winner on his return to action at Lingfield last month, beating Captain Parma by over two lengths.

That run improved his record on the all-weather to a win in three starts. Was strong at the finish on that day, defying a wide draw. Weighted to go close based on that effort.

20:30 - Newcastle - Raatea

In-form Julie Camacho sends Raatea to Newcastle in the finale on Friday. The nine-year-old has won three from eleven starts on the all-weather, and he ran to huge credit on his return last month when beaten a neck by Ziggy’s Condor.

The winner looked well-handicapped on that day, and the selection should come on now on a 1lb lower mark.
