ITV Racing Tips – Saturday 11th April 2026 Best Bets for Aintree

The eyes of the nation will be locked on Aintree this weekend, as one of the most iconic sporting events is staged. The Grand National's history ensures that it is a major event on the British calendar, and you can find our pick for the race here.

We have gone through all televised races on Saturday, picking out ITV horse racing tips, and an accumulator for ITV racing.

ITV's coverage on Saturday kicks off with a competitive handicap hurdle over an extended three miles.

Hold The Serve has looked incredibly progressive over staying trips, most recently winning over two miles and five on handicap debut.

Sean Bowen will be aboard the Olly Murphy-trained runner, who will be a red-hot chance to win for the fourth time from five efforts over hurdles.

Next up is the Grade One Mersey Novices' Hurdle. Ballyfad didn't give his true running in the Turners at the Festival last month when the stable form was poor.

Gordon Elliott's runners have been in excellent form at Aintree, and the selection looks set to resume his progress after finishing second when beaten a short head by Talk The Talk in Grade One company at the Dublin Racing Festival.

A competitive handicap chase is due off at 14:30. Lookaway has been hugely consistent over fences, winning three from five efforts, and failing to finish outside of the first three.

Took the step up to three miles in his stride last time out when beating The Doyen Chief by two lengths at Kempton. Ran well at this meeting a couple of years ago when third in Grade One company.

The final Grade One at Aintree this week is the Liverpool Hurdle, run over three miles. Impose Toi could be overpriced after being pulled up in the Stayers' Hurdle when the race wasn't run to suit.

Has strong claims based on his early-season efforts, including when winning by a dominant three lengths over course and distance when carrying top eight in November. Being away from Cheltenham should also suit.

The big betting race of the season is due off at 16:00 with a maximum field contesting the 2026 Grand National.

Jagwar looks incredibly well-handicapped, and shaped as if this mammoth trip will suit when making plenty of late ground to take second in the Ultima Handicap. That race previously produced National winner Corach Rambler.

The seven-year-old is unexposed over this trip, and is the preference of Mark Walsh. Added cheekpieces should tidy up his jumping.
