13:15 - Cheltenham - Gaelic Pride

ITV’s coverage of the third and final day of the Cheltenham meet kicks off with a fascinating Maiden Hurdle.

Former Derby runner-up Ambiente Friendly heads the betting, but ground concerns are an obvious negative. Therefore, the experienced Gaelic Pride could be worth chancing for trainer Warren Greatrex.

The five-year-old is a former PTP winner, and was far from disgraced on his hurdle debut at Fontwell last month when narrowly denied by Idaho Sun.

Unlike many rivals, he is proven on softer ground, winning on the flat at Fontwell in late February in a Grade Two Bumper.

13:45 - Cheltenham - Kim Roque

Joseph O’Brien sends a rare runner to the November meeting on Sunday, and Kim Roque could be on a very lenient mark in the handicap chase.

The five-year-old was a winner over two miles at three in France over fences last season, and held his own in a Listed Handicap on his final start in the country before joining the O’Brien yard.

The gelding will relish underfoot conditions this weekend, and still presents plenty of upside from this low opening mark.

14:05 - Fontwell - Livin On Luco

ITV also covers action from Fontwell on Sunday, and the Southern National Handicap Chase is due off at 14:05.

Livin on Luco could hold leading claims for the Philip Hobbs & Johnson White stable.

The seven-year-old typically runs well fresh, evident after winning on his return to action at Newton Abbott last October.

He still has untapped potential over a staying trip, and was third of eight on his second crack over three miles at Ffos Las in March. Should be on a workable mark, and has plenty of form on softer and heavy ground to fancy his chances.

14:20 - Cheltenham - Triple Trade

Joe Tizzard sends Triple Trade to Cheltenham on Sunday, and the nine-year-old could be back on a workable mark.

The nine-year-old was last seen finishing fourth in a Handicap Chase over two miles and four at Sandown. However, he goes well fresh, and typically runs big races at Cheltenham.

He was a competitive fourth over an extended two miles at the track behind Libberty Hunter in December, and a fast-run two miles could suit his chances this weekend.

14:55 - Cheltenham - Tanganyika

Protektorat is the class angle in the Handicap Chase over an extended three miles and three on Sunday.

However, the ten-year-old carrying top weight on expected softer ground on his return means that there is little appeal. Instead, Venetia Williams-trained Tanganyika could be a fascinating alternative.

The unexposed runner has won twice from five starts over fences, and was last seen finishing second over the marathon trip in the Midlands National.

This drop back in trip should suit after winning back-to-back races over three miles in February earlier this year. Has plenty of eye-catching form, and should be capable of making his presence felt in this company.

15:30 - Cheltenham - Mirabad

The big race on Sunday comes in the form of the Greatwood Handicap Hurdle.

A wide-open renewal sees plenty have leading chances, but the nod is given to Mirabad for Dan and Harry Skelton.

The six-year-old will have a light weight to carry on his stable debut, and was a competitive runner in hot races over two miles last season.

That includes a five-length demolition of Wreckless Eric on his only previous start at Cheltenham. Handicapped to have a leading role this weekend, and deserves respect for a top yard, who rarely gets it wrong.
