Players will not receive fantasy points for extra time or penalty shootouts and only events that happen in 90 minutes and injury time will be counted. For example, England v Portugal is 0-0 and has to go to extra time, and you have Ruben Dias (Portugal) and Jordan Pickford (England) in your defence - you will be credited a clean sheet bonus because they did so within 90 minutes, so it doesn't matter if they concede in extra time. On the other hand, if Dias scores and continues his clean sheet until the 120th minute, you won't get a further clean sheet bonus and a goal bonus for Dias, because scoring stops upon the final whistle of the scheduled 90 minutes.
Below are the important rules to note with FanTeam at Euro 2020:
There’s are no safety nets – a safety net is where an injured or unavailable player is automatically replaced by a player at the same price from the same team. You must, instead, utilise a full squad of 15 players and use substitutes for injured or suspended players, just like in a regular season-long fantasy football.
Limited to players from one nation – up until the quarter-finals, players can only have three players from the same nation, until the quota increases to four for the semi-finals and then to seven for the final.
Price fluctuations – as is the norm for season-long games, player prices can increase or decrease depending on form. Price rises will be frozen during the wildcard periods to avoid wild fluctuations, but do expect changes to in-form players to happen regularly, such as if Kane scores twice against Croatia on the opening game in Group D, he will likely increase to 13.6m or more from his initial 13.5m price.
Gameweek deadline – each gameweek will have a deadline for which you must submit your team within the deadline. The first week, the deadline will be 90 minutes prior to the first match, so that players in different time zones are not at an advantage or disadvantage.
Wildcard – this will be available after the group stages and it must be used prior to the start of the round of 16, so whoever you choose for your group games is all you can have unless you opt to transfer.
Transfers – you can only ever roll one free transfer. One free transfer will be available after each group game, then three will be awarded prior to the quarters and semis. You can't make free transfers after the semis, but you can change captain and formation.
