Though both sides are probably out of the woods in terms of relegation, but will be looking for a big win to try and reel in a spot in the top half of the table.
Notts County currently sit 17th in League Two after 37 games. The Magpies have 14 wins, six draws and 17 losses, leaving them on 48 points, 15 points above the relegation zone but also six points from the top half of the table.
Despite being in 17th, The Magpies have been amongst the goals, scoring 72 goals in 37 games, an average of 1.95 goals a game, the second best record in the league. However, at the other end of the pitch, Notts County have struggled. The Magpies have conceded 72 goals, the most in the league, and have kept just five clean sheets.
Salford City sit just below Notts County in 20th in League Two. In 39 games, Salford have 11 wins, 11 draws and 17 losses which leaves them on 44 points, 11 points above the relegation zone but ten points from the top half of the table.
The Ammies have also been in form in front of goal this season, scoring 55 goals in 39 games, giving them an average of 1.45 goals a game. Defensively, however, Salford have struggled, conceding 71 goals and keeping seven clean sheets - the second worst record in the league.
Notts County and Salford have met just twice in their histories, with the first meeting coming back in 2015 in the FA Cup. Both sides have picked up a win, with there yet to be a draw in this fixture.
The win for Salford came in the 2015 FA Cup First Round clash. Danny Webber and Richie Allen both scored in the second half for a 2 - 0 win. However, the win for Notts County came earlier this season. David McGoldrick and Daniel Crowley both scored as both sides had a player sent off in the 2 - 0 win for The Magpies.
