Low Odds, High Odds: UCL RO16 - 16/3/22

On Wednesday night, Juventus and Villarreal go head to head at the Juventus Stadium in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16.

The first leg resulted in a 1-1 draw at Estadio de la Ceramica, leaving the tie in the balance, as Dusan Vlahovic’s first-minute opener was cancelled out by a 66th-minute strike from Dani Parejo.

22-year-old Serbian, Vlahovic is currently Serie A’s second top scorer having fired in 20 goals and created two assists in 27 matches having played for both Fiorentina and Juventus this season following his €70 million move to Massimiliano Allegri’s side in January.

As mentioned above, Vlahovic is having a superb goalscoring season and scored in the first minute of his Champions League debut against Villarreal last time out. The former Fiorentina man’s goal tally currently stands at 24 for the season across all competitions.

Last time out, Juventus managed a 3-1 victory over Sampdoria in Serie A, as Maya Yoshida scored an own goal, whilst ex-Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata managed to score a brace.

Lille hosts Chelsea at the Stade Pierre Mauroy in the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie with Thomas Tuchel’s men holding a two-goal advantage.

The Blues won the first leg 2-0 at Stamford Bridge thanks to goals from Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic, with the German being influential to their current form.

Former Bayer Leverkusen man Havertz, who scored the Champions League final winning goal against Manchester City last season has scored four goals in his last three matches against Newcastle, Norwich and Burnley, managing a brace against the latter.

As mentioned above, Havertz has managed four goals in his last three matches and scored against Lille last time out, whilst Canadian strike Jonathan David will be hoping to find the back of the net for his side.

The 22-year-old Canada international is in superb form for the champions of France, as he has managed 16 goals in 35 matches across all competitions, with a total of 58 shots with an accuracy of 57%.

The last meeting between these two sides had exactly 10 corners in the match at Stamford Bridge, with Lille having six compared to Chelsea’s four.

Meanwhile, N’Golo Kante has committed nine fouls in the Champions League this season but, only received one yellow card which is slightly surprising considering the rashness of some of UEFA officials' decision making when it comes to dishing out cards.
