Next Hull City Manager Odds

Next Hull City Manager Odds

Hull City are on the lookout for a new manager following the departure of Shota Arveladze on Friday, just hours before the Tigers' 2-0 home loss to Luton Town.

Prior to their defeat to the Hatters, the Georgian had overseen a run of form that had saw them lose four matches in a row and slump to 20th place. During his time at City, the 49-year-old won nine and drew six of his 30 matches in charge, equating to a 30% win percentage.

Carlos Carvalhal Odds: 4/6

Former Swansea City manager Carlos Carvalhal is the bookmaker’s favourite for the managerial vacancy at the MKM Stadium.

The 56-year-old recently left hometown club Sporting Braga to join UAE Pro League outfit Al Wahda. During his time at Braga, Carvalhal managed to win the Taca de Portugal and finished as runner-up in the Taca da Liga and Supertaca Candido de Oliveira.

Carvalhal has managed 20 teams across his career, including the likes of Besiktas, Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea, notably managing to qualify for the Championship play-offs with the Owls. During his time at Swansea, the Welsh outfit were narrowly relegated from the Premier League in the 2017/18 campaign.

Carvalhal is priced at 4/6 to become Hull’s next manager - click on the link to claim this bet in your bet slip!

Sergen Yalcin Odds: 3/1

Another former Besiktas manager in the shape of Sergen Yalcin has been linked with the job at Hull.

As a manager, the 49-year-old’s only honours came at Besiktas between 2020 and 2021, where he managed to oversee his side do the double, by winning the Turkish Super Lig and Turkish Cup. During his time at Besiktas, Yalcin had a win percentage of 55% having won 46 and drawn 13 of his 83 games in charge.

Yalcin has shown promise in other managerial roles too, having managed a 40% win record at Konyaspor in 2018, whilst also winning eight and drawing three of 16 matches in charge of Gaziantepspor between 2013 and 2014.

Yalcin is priced at 3/1 to be appointed as Hull’s next permanent manager.

Carlos Corberan Odds: 8/1

Carlos Corberan is a name that will interest many in the Championship, following his shock departure from Huddersfield Town in the summer.

The 39-year-old left the Terriers in July following reported disagreements over transfers, having lead them to the play-off final in the 2021/22 season. At Huddersfield, the Spaniard managed 102 games, winning 38 games and drew 28 times.

However, since then, Corberan has been sacked as manager of Olympiacos following just two wins in 11 matches despite a multitude of high-profile signings such as Marcelo and James Rodriguez.

Corberban’s work at Huddersfield will likely be enough to see him get another job in football in the near future.

The Spaniard is priced at 8/1 to succeed Arveladze as manager of Hull.

Liam Rosenior Odds: 10/1

The final candidate on this list is Liam Rosenior who recently left Derby County following the appointment of Paul Warne as manager.

Rosenior played for the Tigers between 2010 and 2015, making a total of 144 league appearances and was Interim Manager at Derby this season for a total of 12 games, where he won seven and drew two, seeing him harshly displaced having never been offered the job on a permanent basis.

Ex-Hull man Rosenior is priced at 10/1 to return to the club as their next manager.
