Ones To Watch

Our new weekly feature with Football Index, hosted by Emma Jones alongside Sky Sports' Alan McInally.

Each player selected is discussed in-depth with their performance and potential both on and off the pitch debated by Emma and Alan.

There are two ways to 'win' on Football Index.

1) Buy Low, Sell High

2) Daily Payouts

Ones To Watch covers both, whilst also educating on how each element works in specific player-related context.

Memphis Depay one to watch this year

The former Manchester United forward started the season in fine form with Lyon, scoring 14 goals in 18 games before an ACL injury has ruled him out for a considerable amount of time.

Despite a short-term decrease in Depay's share price after the injury, as is the nature of Football Index, his price is slowly back on the rise as he gets closer and closer to returning to full fitness.

Alan McInally and Emma Jones think the Dutch forward would be a good signing for several of the 'top 6' Premier League clubs, depending on how he recovers from his injury.

Does Alan see Depay's share price continuing to rise as we head towards the summer transfer window? He certainly does, taking into account his age and on-field reputation since rebuilding his career with Lyon.

Certainly One To Watch in 2020.

Wilfried Zaha on the move this year

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has experienced consistent inconsistency on Football Index. A recent pattern has seen his share price rise around transfer windows with continuous links to 'bigger' clubs around Europe, before dips as the window closes.

The latest rumours in the January window linked Chelsea with a move for Zaha, with Arsenal's summer interest heavily documented before they spent a reported £72m on Nicolas Pepe.

Who knows what the summer window will hold for Zaha, but both Alan McInally and Emma Jones think now is the time for him to step up, so his career doesn't turn out to be similar to that of Theo Walcott, who despite the initial excitement around him when he joined Arsenal all those years ago, it feels as if he's never quite reached his full potential.
