The arrival of Erik Ten Hag at Manchester United has signalled a big shuffle in the squad. There has already been an upheaval in players since the end of the season, with Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani leaving and Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard also being confirmed as departures from Old Trafford.
Ten Hag became known for his young Ajax teams, with the 2018/19 team who made it all the way to the Champions League Semi-finals with youngsters like Frenkie De Jong and Matthijs De Ligt. With this in mind, the addition of Conor Gallagher to Manchester United would make sense.
The young midfielder scored eight goals in the Premier League, just two goals behind Bruno Fernandes in seven fewer games. However, Gallagher still scored four more goals than Fred and six more than Scott McTominay, making Gallagher an obvious choice for Ten Hag and United.
