Now that he is back in the Premier League, Todd Cantwell's odds to leave Norwich have changed significantly as he potentially looks to leave the relegation-threatened Norwich City. Cantwell has played in the Premier League with the Canaries prior to this season, and after impressing in the Championship, the Englishman is on the radar of Aston Villa once more.
Villa are living in the post-Jack Grealish world and without his guidance and leadership, not as much is expected of Villa this campaign. Now, with a £100m budget spent on Emi Buendia, Danny Ings and Leon Bailey, not much would be left over for Cantwell, who is not expected to be any cheaper than his former colleague Buendia, who cost £35m.
Still, however, if Cantwell is to join any club this summer, it's likely to be Villa. It makes sense for the club who now have stronger finances with the Grealish sale, and for Dean Smith too, who will need all hands on deck in the attacking sense to make up for Grealish's departure.
As of now, Cantwell is 5/2 to join the club and the only thing stopping this would be an official bid, as Daniel Farke and Norwich's stature simply wouldn't be enough to stop him leaving to a club that is expected to fight towards the top 10.
