With the title race starting afresh, can Jurgen Klopp’s side retain their Premier League crown?
Some will say that defending the title is what makes you champions, but Liverpool did storm the league and win by a margin of 18 points last campaign and were top from pretty much the get go. This season is likely to be another fierce battle between Liverpool and Manchester City for first place, one that Klopp will be just as determined to win as last season.
Elsewhere, there is a lot of optimism going into the new season for Chelsea. The Blues finished fourth last campaign and with the huge signings Timo Werner, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell and Hakim Ziyech, the club have already made monumental strides forward.
As for Fulham, it’s always tough for any newly promoted team to survive in the Premier League and avoid relegation, as the Cottagers will be well aware of following their relegation in 2019. Fulham area already trailing certain clubs with a lack of signings thus far, as Leeds United have made some shrewd signings, adding to their already quality side.
Fulham are one of the favourites to go down, whilst Chelsea’s top four chances are more than likely with their transfer activity, whilst Liverpool are, of course, already on top of the world.
