However, behind every great goalscorer is a great team and in some special cases, there is one special player behind it all. In this article, we'll take a look at the Top 5 players with the most assists in the history of the Premier League.

Ryan Giggs has had arguably the greatest Premier League career of all time, winning the league title 13 times in the 22 seasons he played in the league, making a staggering 632 appearances for his one and only club Manchester United.

Giggs was already an established player for Man Utd when the Premier League was introduced for the 1992/93 season and at just 19 years old, he started racking up assists early in his career and after just four seasons in the league, he not only racked up 33 assists and 34 goals but also three Premier League titles.

Kevin De Bruyne - 112 Assists

Kevin De Bruyne is the first active player to feature in the top five, with the 32-year-old Manchester City midfielder looking to hunt down Ryan Giggs' record of 162 assists.

Some regard De Bruyne as the best player in the Premier League due to the fact that the Belgian has been a creative machine since moving back to England with City at the start of the 2015/16 season following a fairly anonymous spell with Chelsea from 2012 to 2014 where he made just four league appearances.

De Bruyne has managed to create 112 Premier League assists in 260 appearances while adding 64 goals in that time. Memorably, the Belgian playmaker managed to equal Thierry Henry's 17-year-old record in 2019/20 of creating 20 assists in a single season.
