Ahead of their visit to Anfield to face Liverpool this evening, footage has emerged of the Sheffield United squad preparing for the match by training on Stanley Park just next to Anfield. Since gaining promotion to the Premier League, Sheffield United have gained a lot of favour and admiration from neutral supporters. As well as their attacking style of play, one reason why Sheffield United has gained this admiration is thanks to their old school feel, with Chris Wilder’s traditional values and philosophy of football being reminiscent of football from years back. The clubs decision to train on Stanley Park reinforces that old school feel, with the local park setting creating vibes and feel of traditional grassroots football, that everyone who has played Sunday League Football can relate to.
Sheffield United go into the game on fine form as they find themselves 8th in the Premier League, with only Liverpool and Leicester losing more Premier League games than the Blades so far this season. There’s no doubt that they have a tough task ahead of them as they face a Liverpool side who have won their last 17 games at Anfield. But there’s no doubt that many neutrals will be hoping that they can cause an upset and get a result against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
