On Tuesday, Mansfield Town take on Swindon Town at Field Mill in a battle of ninth against fifth in League Two.
Nigel Clough’s side come into this game in good form, as the Stags have won four of their last five fixtures across all competitions, having beaten Doncaster Rovers 3-2 in the FA Cup Second Round, as well as defeating Carlisle United 1-0, Salford City 2-1 and 3-2, before narrowly losing to Championship outfit Middlesbrough in the FA Cup on the weekend.
Swindon are in a run of poor form of late, of which their 4-1 thumping at the hands of Manchester City in the FA Cup won’t have enhanced their confidence. Town had hammered Northampton 5-2 before this mammoth tie against the Citizens, but, prior to their victory over the Cobblers, they had managed just one point from three games, having drawn 0-0 against Stevenage, on top of 2-0 and 4-1 losses to Barrow and Leyton Orient.
