Manchester City have won the Premier League in four of the last five seasons and following the additions of Kalvin Phillips, Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez, there is the possibility that they could make it five in six.
Pep Guardiola has won 11 league titles in his career, starting back in his days at Barcelona’s B Team in the 2007/08 season, and last campaign was the closest title race he has been in yet, winning the league via a comeback from 2-0 down against Aston Villa on the last day of the season.
City will hope that Haaland hits the ground running in what will be their first season with a regularly playing striker up front since 2018/19. The Norwegian scored 85 goals in 88 matches for Dortmund prior to his move to the Etihad Stadium.
