There's been some big fixtures in the Championship during the midweek schedule and one of the most eye-catching came at the bet365 Stadium. Stoke City took on Derby County in a clash that brought up a number of storylines, the main ones being former Rams duo Gary Rowett and Tom Ince facing their former clubs for the first time. Derby fans gave them a frosty reception to say the least, jeering the pair and even taking in inflatable snakes which were mainly directed at Rowett - who left Pride Park in the summer after guiding them to the play-offs.
The anger off the pitch from the Rams supporters clearly went down to the players who produced a gripping encounter which saw 5 red cards and 1 red, but that isn't where the drama ended. Following the dismissal of Stoke City's Peter Etebo a brawl broke out between both sets of players and things got really out of hand. It eventually led to midfield duo Joe Allen and Bradley Johnson clashing and it appears that the Derby man had bitten him! The pair were in close contact in front of the referee and replays really look like Johnson appeared to bite the Welshmen, which could land him in some serious trouble.
We've seen very public cases of this happen in the not too distant past with Luis Suarez twice biting Branislav Ivanovic in the Premier League and Giorgio Chiellini at the 2014 World Cup and he had long terms bans, so if Johnson did it he could face a spell on the sidelines.
Did Johnson bite Allen? Watch the footage below and make your mind up!
