There were a few eyebrows raised earlier this summer when Everton shelled out a reported £40m to secure the services of Richarlison. The forward endured a mixed first year in English football but he displayed his quality with a superb two goal display on his Toffees debut on Saturday against Wolves. He inspired ten man Everton to a very good point against the newly promoted big spenders, along with scooping the man of the match gong.
It was a memorable day for the 21 year-old and that certainly was the case for a young supporter in the crowd too. At the end of the game Richarlison departed the pitch and greeted a fan behind the dugouts, shaking hands with him before handing him his shirt. It was an extremely kind gesture and after departing down the tunnel the young boy broke down into tears of joy, sheer disbelief that he's just met his hero. Moments like this just show what football means to people and it capped off a magnificent afternoon for Richarlison and his young fan.
