Smart Acca Picks Friday: Euro Qualifiers and Segunda Division Takes Centre Stage

What a stunning start to the Group A campaign it has been for Scotland with four wins from four games, nine goals scored and only one goal let in.

In fact, as it has also managed to beat Spain, they have had arguably the best qualifying campaign so far amongst all teams, despite the likes of England and France having better goals difference records.

Scotland can't keep this run up, however, as they have proven countless times in the past. But, qualification is well on the cards, and it should win this game.

With this said, Cyprus could get a goal after scoring two in three games. At the same time, after scoring against Norway and Georgia, Scotland is the only team to keep it out so far.

Georgia are aiming to get their second win of the Group A campaign after one loss, one draw and one win. This has seen them score three goals and let in four, but against a Spain side who have just won the Nations League, they are expected to fall to another defeat.

Spain have managed to beat Norway 3-0 at these qualifiers, as Scotland managed to stun the Nations League winners at Hampden Park in a 2-0 win that registered their first victory over the Spanish since 1984.

In the last international break, the 2010 World Cup champions defeated Italy 2-1 in the Nations League semi-finals, as they went on to beat Croatia in the final on penalties after a 0-0 draw. Spain should win here, but as Scott McTominay proved by scoring a brace, their defence is far from what it used to be.

Turkey are sitting top of their group in the Euro 2024 qualifiers with just one loss on the board and three wins. This has seen them defeat Wales and Latvia in the last international break, but even though they eased to all three points against the Welsh, they still managed to let in two goals against the winless Latvia.

Further results this campaign have already seen them defeat Armenia 2-1 away from home, as their only defeat came at the hands of the Nations League finalists Croatia.

In total, Turkey have scored seven goals and let in five with just one clean sheet so far.

The second tier of Spanish football carries on during this international break, as two giants of the Segunda Division aim to get a vital three points during the early stages of the season.

So far, 37.4% of games this season have seen Levante win and both teams score with the club sitting sixth in the league and unbeaten after four games. This has seen them draw two and win two, let in four goals and score six of their own.

Recently, Levante have failed to keep a clean sheet on a consistent basis, doing so only against Cartagena after a draw with Oviedo and Amorebieta and after losing to Burgos and Leganes.
