What a career the Swedish legend has had, on and off the pitch. He has scored goals all around the world and has proved a lot of people wrong through out his career. Last night the outspoken Swede scored his 500th career goal against Toronto FC.
This is such a feet that the only active players to do this are Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, which is saying a lot. Zlatan has had a long and illustrious career starting in his native Sweden playing for Malmo and what seems could be the ending the of his career in the USA, with LA Galaxy. He has played for some of the biggest clubs in the world and always scored goals throughout his career.
Ibrahimovic has scored 438 goals across 747 appearances during his club career with some of the biggest teams on the planet. Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Barcelona, PSG, Manchester United and now in the USA LA Galaxy. He has named himself the greatest player ever for Sweden and notched up 62 goals in 114 senior appearances for them. Zlatan has proved himself wherever he has played and even at the age of 36 years old he has scored 17 goals in 18 appearances in the MLS.
Obviously Zlatan being Zlatan couldn't leave the match without any controversy, he had a run in with Toronto FC's Michael Bradley on the pitch, which got quite heated. After the game he was asked what had happened during the match "He thinks he’s the philosopher of football. I have more goals than he has games. He should follow my rules." Never change Zlatan, please never change.
Zlatans 500th career goal was in vein though as his team LA Galaxy ran out 5-3 losers after coming back from a 3-0 deficit, Zlatan said after the game "I am happy for Toronto because they will be remembered as my 500th victim." Confident as always.
You can see below in true Zlatan style how he scored his 500th career goal with an absolutely unreal finish.
