With the close of Week 2 it marks the mid-way point of our Month 3 FA Poker League. This week’s leaderboard was dominated by ‘thesjd93’ who topped it with 263 points. This was 77 points higher than this week’s second place! It was hard for anyone to catch him after he final tabled twice in Month 3, the first time on Wednesday 20th and second time on Wednesday 27th banking him a very nice 88 bonus points!
So how did it all go down?
We’ll start off with the first tournament that took place last Wednesday the 27th. We had special guest Jamie O’Hara playing as our bounty, he was knocked out the first time by Woody1864, he then re-entered to be knocked out by Mfyids97. In addition to Jamie, we had another 2,363 entries amassing a prizepool of a cool £11,820. This meant the winner on the night BDunlop94 walked away with £1,634.59.
The next tournament took place on Saturday 30th and 2,135 people joined us at the tables. This gave us a prizepool of £10,675 and the winner ELSIEBOSS took home £1,172.52. Carl Froch was our celebrity guest and had a bounty of £50 and a signed boxing glove on offer for knocking him out, Nicki_1 took Carl out to claim the prizes.
The final tournament this week took place on Monday 2nd. We were joined by 2,044 entries which created a prizepool of £10,220 meaning our winner DevilBear90 took home £1,064.38. We also had a special promotion this evening where the player in 268th position come the first break would win £250 cash. KimmB was the lucky player on the night.
We now look ahead to our third game week of month 3. We’ll be joined this Wednesday by Jermaine Pennant who will have a £50 bounty on his head for any players able to knock him out of the tournament on the night. Good Luck!
