Bristol City vs Norwich Prediction, Tips & Stats

Norwich City will be looking to bounce back from their 3-0 demolition from Burnley in the Championship last time out that threw further doubt over a solid finish in the playoffs for the club ahead of a trip to Ashton Gate.

Bristol City returned to the win column last time out by defeating Preston North End at Deepdale thanks to a first half goal each from Bell and Sykes. It still keeps the club way down in the bottom half of the table but Nigel Pearson's men are still, at the very least, on a decent unbeaten run that has seen them lose just once since Christmas after a 2-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion.

This period has seen the Robins draw three games in the Championship and beat Preston and Birmingham in the league too. They've also eased into the FA Cup fifth round after beating West Bromwich Albion 3-0 to now set up a tie with Manchester City.

Norwich are in 10th now after losing 3-0 to Burnley. It does still keep David Wagner's men within touching distance of the playoffs, as they have managed to beat Preston 4-0 and Coventry City 4-2 in the past few weeks.

            Bristol City team news

Bristol are coming into this game off the back of a hectic schedule and it could force the club to make a bunch of changes in this game. Nakhi Wells likely comes into this one here, despite coming off in the 2-1 win over Preston where he managed to get booked too. Sam Bell and Mark Sykes scored a goal each in the last outing against Preston and they will start here with Scott in an attacking midfield trio. Naismith and James are set to play in defensive midfield too, as Pring, Atkinson, Vyner and Tanner play in defence, although the latter is set to face a late fitness test ahead of this one. Jay Dasilva should come into the side as a result, while we expected Tomas Kalas at right-back with Joe Williams and Harry Cornick to get more minutes off the bench. Andreas Weimann should get minutes as well in this game.

            Norwich team news

Norwich have been struggling a lot at times this season and they now have to deal with Todd Cantwell's move to Rangers this time too. It means Sara likely starts most games behind Teemu Pukki and Josh Sargent if fit to play. Sargent did come off in the 3-0 loss to Burnley but he is fit to play here. Dowell and Hernandez both came off in the last game but will start here ahead of McLean in midfield. Adam Idah is also back now and he could feature alongside Christos Tzolis and Marcelino Nunez. There are no suspensions to deal with for the Canaries.
