Two sides struggling in League One look to get back to winning ways this weekend with Burton Albion and Lincoln City set to clash on Saturday with the Imps just about in the top half of the table despite their winless run.
Lincoln have drawn their past three games after a goalless encounter with Peterborough United and the same result with Derby County. Wycombe Wanderers also managed to take a point off them in a clash earlier in January. Count this in with a loss to Northampton Town and a defeat to Blackpool earlier last month, and it now means a winless run throughout 2024.
In fact, they've also managed to lose to Bolton Wanderers and Derby County throughout December, while also drawing with Reading after a loss to Accrington Stanley in the Football League Trophy. Combine this with a 0-0 draw with Wigan Athletic and it now means a 10-game unbeaten run.
The last win for the Imps came against Cambridge United, as Daniel Mandroiu got back amongst the goals from the penalty spot. Dylan Duffy and Jack Vale also netted in that 3-0 win, as Lincoln had seven shots on target from 14 efforts.
It leaves them in 12th with eight wins on the board and 10 defeats too. This also sees the club with 11 draws, and with them sitting bang in the middle of the league table, what all but sums up their run of form is the same amount of goals scored as conceded (30).
Burton are not in much better form themselves but have managed to win a game recently after a 2-0 victory over Charlton Athletic - Mark Helm and John Brayford. On the other hand, the club have lost to Bolton Wanderers and Derby County in League One, alongside a loss to Blackpool in the Football League Trophy. The Brewers did secure a 1-0 win over the Tangerines late last December before a 1-0 win over Shrewsbury Town too.
