Cambridge vs Fleetwood Prediction, Tips & Stats

Cambridge and Fleetwood Town will clash in League One this Good Friday with 10 places in the table keeping the two apart as the home side aim to stay off the foot of the table after a win last time out.

It's been an incredibly tough time for the U's over the past few months and they still sit deep in the relegation zone and in 23rd place ahead of this one. They did, however, manage to end their lengthy winless run last time out by defeating Port Vale 2-0 with Sam Smith and Lloyd Jones scoring a goal each. Cambridge had 46% of the ball that day and saw six shots on target from 16 efforts towards goal.

Cambridge are on just 33 points as a result with only nine wins from 38 games and 23 losses on the board. In fact, only Forest Green in last place have scored fewer goals than the club's 30 so far. On the other hand, the U's are heading into this one with two games in hand over Morecambe and can jump above the Shrimps into 22nd over time.

As for Fleetwood, they head into this game off the back of a 2-2 draw with Exeter City and a 2-1 win over Lincoln City during the recent international break. Scott Brown also led his side to a stunning 2-0 win over Derby County at Pride Park three weeks ago in what was arguably their best result of the season. The Cods now sit in 13th and are within touching distance of the top half of the table.

Brown's side are behind Charlton Athletic by two points and have lost 13 times and won 12 so far. What all but sums up their season so far is their 43 goals scored and 41 let in.
