Peterborough United resume their automatic promotion push this weekend as they square off against Charlton Athletic at the Valley.
Charlton Athletic currently sit 13th in League One with seven wins, nine draws and nine losses from twenty-five games this season.
The Addicks look well one course for another mediocre campaign in England's third tier as they languish thirteen points shy of the playoff places while not performing particularly impressively.
They're coming into this game in fairly shocking form, winless in their last nine games having lost three of their last four.
Their latest outing was an entertaining 3-3 draw with Port Vale which, while a memorable spectacle, was a particularly deflating result.
Goals from Corey Blackett-Taylor, Daniel Kanu and Tyreece Campbell had given Charlton a 3-2 lead heading into stoppage time but in the 92nd minute, Port Vale notched a dramatic equaliser to deny Charlton a sorely needed win.
Squad morale will be drastically low amongst the Charlton squad as the weeks pass by without a win and it's going to be tough for them to change that here.
In fairness, though, their form on home soil has ben pretty decent as they come into this game having lost only one of their last five games on home soil, winning two of those.
They're facing a side bang in form in the league so while they do need three points, any result here will be good.
Peterborough United currently sit 3rd in League One with fourteen wins, seven draws and four losses from twenty-five games this season.
The Posh have been excellent this season and coming into this game with their eyes firmly set on an an automatic promotion push.
Their form has been very good for a long period now as Darren Ferguson's side enter this game having lost only one of their last nineteen games, winning three of their last five.
Their latest outing in the league saw them claim arguably their biggest and most impressive win of the season as they toppled a Derby County side that were, and still are, bang in form and surging up the league table, with goals from Harrison Burrows, Kwame Poku and Ricky-Jade Jones sealing a dramatic 3-2 win in injury time.
The Posh did lose 0-3 to Championship side Leeds United in the FA Cup at the weekend, but they played well at times and it's unlikely they'll let that game affect the momentum they've accumulated in the league in the last couple of months.
Ferguson's side have won all of their last three consecutive away games in the league and they'll firmly expect themselves to make it four here.
For our Charlton vs. Peterborough prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
