Lincoln City vs Blackpool Prediciton, Tips & Stats

Lincoln City will welcome Blackpool to the LNER Stadium this weekend with the club looking to crack the top six this weekend in League One after a solid start to the season for a change after previously struggling in the first opening games.

The Imps edged past Shrewsbury Town last time out with a 1-0 win on the road that saw the club move into eighth in the table after four matches in League One.

Ethan Hamilton was the hero once again for the club that day, as they have also beaten Wycombe Wanderers this season with a fantastic 3-0 win on the road with a goal each from Daniel Mandriou, Teddy Bishop and Reece Hackett-Fairchild.

Hackett-Fairchild would score once more last before that in a 2-2 draw against Northampton Town, as Paudie O'Connor also scored a goal. Lincoln did, however, concede in the 98th minute of the game.

Blackpool are only two places behind Lincoln in the table, but after three 0-0 draws in a row, they've been perhaps the most dull team to watch in the EFL this season. This has seen them draw with Port Vale, Leyton Orient and Exeter City, while the club has also beaten Derby County in the EFL Cup first round.

          Blackpool team news

Blackpool have seen the return of Sonny Carey recently and he got minutes off the bench against Leyton Orient and should now feature here. Matty Virtue is also back in the squad and is likely to get some game time as well. Richard O'Donnell may not feature as well, as Grimshaw continues to be the club's main keeper this season. Casey, Ekpiteta and Husband should all remain in the defence once again, but Callum Connolly should also get minutes while Matty Pennington is expected to start as well after his return. Owen Dake also missed the last outing and should get game time here. Beesley and Lavery are likely to start up top with the club looking for a return to winning way.

          Lincoln City team news

Ethan Hamilton has been playing a starring role once again for Lincoln this season and he grabbed the winner against Shrewsbury Town last time out. Ahead of him, we expect to see Walker in the attack once more with Mandriou likely to carry on his decent start to the season alongside Hackett-Fairchild. Alistair Smith and Teddy Bishop missed the starting XI for Lincoln last weekend and are now likely to come into the game here. Ben House is also set to feature at some stage too. Jaden Brown and Jordan Wright are too more names who should get minutes in this game. Goalkeeper Jensen should remain in the defence after he got booked last weekend.
