Bristol Rovers are looking for a much needed win as they travel to face Shrewsbury Town in League One this weekend.
Shrewsbury Town currently sit 14th in League One with three wins and three losses from their first six games of the season.
It's been a mixed start to the campaign for The Shrews and they're about where most people would have expected them to be at this stage.
They've not had the toughest start to the season in terms of fixture difficulty so there's likely some disappointment that they haven't taken advantage of that and they're coming into this game amidst a pretty poor run of form having lost three of their last five games in all competitions.
Their most recent league game saw them slump to a 2-0 defeat away at a struggling Carlisle United side before succumbing to a 3-0 hammering away at League Two side Forest Green Rovers in the EFL Trophy last time out.
Those result have compounded what has been a really poor run for a Shrewsbury side that have managed to score just three goals in their last five games.
Unless they can find a way to become more ruthless in front of goal their issues are likely to persists given they're currently the joint-fourth lowest goalscorers in the division.
They're facing a side here that aren't in the best shape themselves and if they also fail to win this one then alarm bells will start to ring.
Bristol Rovers currently sit 18th in League One with one win, three draws and two losses from their first six games of the season.
Joey Barton's men have struggled to make a dint in the league so far and have underwhelmed greatly.
They're coming into this game amidst a poor run of form in the league having failed to win any of their last three matches, drawing one and losing two.
Their most recent league game saw them held to a 1-1 draw at home to Lincoln City in a result that could have been much worse were it not for a Josh Grant equaliser in the 94th minute.
They did at least subject Cheltenham Town to a 4-1 battering in the EFL Trophy in midweek which will have lifted the mood in camp but overall there is some concern amongst the fanbase as to what the side will achieve this year.
Fans will likely accept a draw here they lose this game then the pressure could really start to pile on Barton and co.
For our Shrewsbury vs. Bristol Rovers prediction, we're going for a 1-0 win for the home side.
