Mansfield are eyeing up a spot back in the win column after a stunning loss to Salford City last weekend saw them drop into eighth in the table and lose track of their excellent winning run with Wimbledon up next for Nigel Clough's men.
While Mansfield were stunned last weekend, the Dons have not won a game in the past month and picked up just three points throughout February from three draws. This saw them collect a point each against Carlisle United, Northampton Town and Hartlepool United, while also registering losses to Leyton Orient, Stevenage and Gillingham.
It sees the club on 10 wins from 33 games still, with 12 draws and 11 losses. At the same time, the London side have scored just 35 goals and let in 36 as well with them now above the bottom two by 16 points. In reality, despite the torrid form, the club are far from near the relegation zone and fans should not be fearful of a sudden drop into the danger zone.
As for Mansfield, their unbeaten run of six games was brought to a halt by a Salford in a 5-2 loss at Field Mill. The club have drawn 1-1 with Crewe Alexandra, beaten Doncaster Rovers 4-1, drawn with Bradford, and then gone on to smash third-placed Carlisle United 4-0 at Brunton Park in their best win of the season. The club have also beaten Tranmere Rovers and Gillingham 2-0 in recent weeks.
