Third takes on 10th in League Two this weekend over at the Cherry Red Records Stadium with Notts County aiming to get back in the top two of the fourth tier with Wimbledon eyeing up a spot in the playoffs.
It's been a fantastic season for Notts County since their promotion from the National League, and although it seems as if nobody may catch Stockport County this season, the club are still sitting above Gillingham just outside of the playoff spots by five points early on. County have also won 10 games but lost five so far, while only Stockport have scored more than their tally of 37 to this point.
Last weekend with the international break not affecting League Two, Bradford City fell to a 4-2 loss to Notts County, as David McGoldrick got back amongst the goals before Macaulay Longstaff continued his excellent goalscoring form with two goals in the first half. In fact, Daniel Crowley would add another in the first half, meaning all four goals came within this period.
This did end a streak of two games lost in a row for the club, as Lincoln City defeated them in the Football League Trophy 2-0 before Crewe Alexandra beat them 1-0 back in League Two. The club also head into this game with a 3-2 win in the FA Cup first round from November, beating Crawley Town 3-2 after more goals from Crowley, McGoldrick and Longstaff in what is turning out to be a sensational season for that trio.
As for Wimbledon, they were beaten in the Football League Trophy last weekend by Wycombe Wanderers, but with them also defeating Doncaster Rovers in League Two, Crystal Palace U21s in the EFL Trophy and Cheltenham Town in the FA Cup first round, the Dons have suffered just one loss in November.
On the other hand, a 4-1 battering from Morecambe at the end of October after losses to Bradford City and Accrington Stanley alongside goalless draws with Mansfield Town and Barrow means only one in October too - Harrogate Town fell to to Wimbledon in that game.
