Bradford City will be looking to get back into the playoffs over the forthcoming weeks with a drop in form for Mark Hughes' men seeing the club down in eighth and outside of the promotion spots for the first time in many weeks with Doncaster Rovers up next.
Hughes has been in topsy-turvy form in 2023 and for every time Bradford have won, they've only managed to register two wins on the spin in 2023. This came earlier in the month, as Bradford got a fantastic away win over Stevenage before a 2-0 home victory over Tranmere Rovers.
The Bantams are back in the losing column, however, after a 1-0 defeat to Barrow last weekend. This also sees them with just three wins in 2023, as they narrowly defeated Salford City back at the start of January.
The club are now behind Salford by just one point in terms of the playoff spots, but they are also coming into this one with two games in hand to play over Salford. What's more, the club remain just six behind Stockport County in fourth and come into the game with two games still to play over them as well. In truth, despite the poor form since the turn of the year, a chance to get into the playoffs is still well and truly on for Bradford.
Doncaster Rovers head into this game with the Bantams have witnessed the end of their excellent winning run. Sutton United made relatively easy work of Danny Schofield's men last time out, but just prior to this, his side defeated Tranmere Rovers, Swindon Town and Barrow by scoring five goals and keeping three clean sheets in a row.
Doncaster are only behind Bradford in eighth by two points, as the club have squeezed into the top 10 over the past three weeks. It also sees them with 14 wins in the league, and this is one more than a Bradford side two places above them. However, the club have lost 13 times as well in the league and drawn just four. It also sees Rovers with a poor goals difference record, with them letting in 42 goals and scoring just 36 of their own.
It's set to be a very close game given the form of the two and how close they are in the table. It seems as if a draw could be on the cards here.
