Matty Daly gave Harrogate the early lead against Wimbledon with his goal in the eighth minute. Ronan Curtis drew Wimbledon level just before the hour mark and despite his red card just three minutes later, his goal was good enough to force a 1 - 1 draw. Harrogate bounced back against Gillingham. The Gills took a 1 - 0 lead into halftime through a goal from George Lapslie but a brace from Daly and goals from Anthony O’Connor, Jack Muldoon and Abraham Odoh gave Harrogate the 5 - 1 win.
However, the trip to Notts County the next time out was one to forget for Harrogate. A penalty in the first half added time from Macaulay Langstaff gave Notts County the lead at the break, then goals from Jodi Jones and Jim O’Brien in the second half wrapped up a 3 - 0 win for Notts County. Harrogate were back to winning ways against Grimsby. George Thomson scored the only goal of the game in the 49th minute to give Harrogate the 1 - 0 win.
The last time out for Harrogate was against Sutton United. Harry Beautyman gave Sutton the lead on the stroke of halftime but goals from Thomson and Muldoon put Harrogate in the lead with ten minutes to go. However, Deon Moore popped up with a goal in the 87th minute to give Sutton the 2 - 2 draw.
MK Dons, on the other hand, currently sit fourth in League Two. In 44 games, MK Dons have 22 wins, eight draws and 14 losses which leaves them on 74 points, eight points within the Play-offs. In their last five games in all competitions, MK Dons have two wins, one draw and two losses.
The trip to league leaders Stockport was one to forget for MK Dons. Callum Camps, Paddy Madden, Isaac Olaofe, Connor Lemonheigh-Evans and Neill Byrne all scored in the 5 - 0 win for Stockport, despite MK Dons having more of the possession. However, MK Dons bounced back with a 5 - 0 win of their own against Walsall. A brace from Max Dean and goals from Emre Tezgel, Alex Gilbey and Joe Tomlinson gave MK Dons the 5 - 0 win with Walsall having just one shot on target.
Dean was on the scoresheet again for MK Dons, this time opening the scoring against Notts County, though Sam Austin did make it level before halftime. Alassana Jatta then gave Notts County the lead just minutes into the second half but a brace from Ellis Harrison gave MK Dons the 3 - 2 lead with five minutes to go. However, an extra time goal from Aaron Nemane rescued a 3 - 3 draw for Notts County. MK Dons were back to winning ways against Forest Green Rovers, with Dean and Gilbey scoring in the 2 - 0 win over a Rovers side who had zero shots on target.
The most recent outing for MK Dons was against Mansfield Town. Dean scored yet again to give MK Dons the lead, but a brace from Davis Keillor-Dunn and goals from Elliott Hewitt and James Gale gave Mansfield the 4 - 1 win.
Harrogate Town and MK Dons have only met once in their histories, that being the game earlier this season. An own goal from Warren O’Hora in the first half was the only goal of the game in a 1 - 0 win for Harrogate Town.
