Swindon Town will be in search of a return to the win column after a tough run of form to deal with recently as Newport County plays host to them at Rodney Parade with the South Wales side themselves still in a pickle.
Newport are down in 19th now after a bad run of form that sees the club as close to the relegation zone as they have been all season long. In fact, after losing to Carlisle United 2-0 away from home last time out, Newport have now extended their winless run to six games since an early December win against Crewe Alexandra. The South Wales outfit lost to Doncaster Rovers soon after and then went on to register four consecutive draws in a row.
As for Swindon, they managed to play out a thriller against bottom-placed Gillingham at home. However, in a game where they were expected to win, the club saw Gillingham score more goals in that game than they have in any match all season long. Jody Morris will play out his first game in charge of Swindon in this match, with Charlie Austin in red-hot form after bagging two goals in the last game.
Morris' side are still in sixth despite the draw against the Gills, as his men also have a game in hand on Salford City in fifth just above them. On the other hand, Swindon are only ahead of Mansfield on goals difference.
Newport do head into this one at 6/4 and Swindon are the underdogs after their run of form recently, although they are still our pick to win this game. 1+ corners each team in each half is also priced at 4/7 and 2+ corners each team in each half sits at 4/7. As the odds point in the direction of a potentially unpredictable game, Newport to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 is priced at 5/2 and Newport to win 3-0, 3-1 or 3-2 is also at 9/1. Swindon to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 is at 11/4 if you're backing an away win like us and Swindon to win 3-0, 3-1 or 3-2 is also at 10/1.
