Philadelphia Union travels across the United States this weekend when they head to California to meet with San Jose Earthquakes with the Union returning to their form of old in recent times just as the Quakes sit fifth out West.
It's been a fantastic season for San Jose so far in 2023 with the club drastically improving the form shown in 2022. The Quakes now head into this game with 19 goals scored and 19 let in and sit as the fourth-best defensive side in the Western Conference.
What's more, they've also lost just five games from 16 outings and sit behind Dallas just above them by three points with a game in hand. They are also adrift of Seattle Sounders in second by just four points with a game in hand too.
All in all, it's been a fantastic season for a side that finished in last place last year and they come into this one off the back of drawing with Dallas, beating Seattle in Seattle and drawing with Colorado Rapids.
As for the Union, they are finally looking like the side that won the Eastern Conference last year. The club head into this game with 30 points from 16 games and now sit behind Nashville in second by just one points and nine adrift of the overall leaders Cincinnati.
