Bournemouth vs Liverpool Prediction, Tips & Stats

Liverpool will head on the road after arguably their greatest-ever Premier League victory over their arch rivals Manchester United just as Bournemouth play hosts to the Reds after a bitter loss to Arsenal at the Emirates.

It looked as if the Cherries would get all three points and stun Arsenal last Saturday, but the club would crumble in the 97th minute of the game after a Reiss Nelson winner. Philip Billing would score in the second-fastest goal in Premier League history that day after his goal came was initially reported that Billing's shot had crossed the line after 9.11 seconds to put him narrowly behind Shane Long's effort against Watford in 2019 that came after 7.69 seconds.

Marcos Senesi netted 17 minutes into the second half of the game that day as well, with Bournemouth taking a 2-0 lead. However, two goals in eight minutes from Arsenal brought the game to 2-2, as Nelson's effort in the 97th minute both made Arsenal title favourites and the Cherries the favourites to go down.

The loss threw the south coast side to the bottom of the table for the first time this season with Southampton defeating Leicester City. Bournemouth are bottom on goals difference, as they have now let in 51 goals from 25 games and scored just 24. It was also the club's 14th loss of the season in the Premier League with just five wins of their own.

Liverpool battered Manchester United from pillar to post in their last outing, as they inflicted their highest-ever defeat over them and the Red Devils' worst loss in 91 years. Cody Gakpo netted a goal either side of both halves, just as Darwin Nunes scored twice with Mohamed Salah getting another brace. Roberto Firmino came on to score in the final few minutes of Liverpool's famous day, but oddly enough, this was not even their highest-scoring win of the Premier League season.

That, ironically, came against Bournemouth earlier in the season with a 9-0 victory at Anfield spelling the end for Scott Parker Luis Diaz scored twice that day, as did Firmino, just as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harvey Elliot, Virgil van Dijk and Fabio Carvahlo all got in on the act alongside an own goal from Chris Mepham.

That stunning 9-0 defeat on Merseyside and the recent 7-0 mauling over United all point to another Reds win this weekend.
