Chelsea are desperately hoping to keep their Champions League hopes alive as they take on Brighton in the Premier League this week.
Brighton are having a strong season as they sit 9th in the Premier League table, just one point shy of Brentford in 7th. They have a very strong chance of securing Europa League football for next season but they need a strong finish to the campaign, and that must start with three points here.
The Seagulls are in good form heading into this one, with just one defeat from their last seven games, winning five of those. They've also won two of their last three at home, with their sole defeat coming at the hands of Arsenal.
Games between these two teams tend to produce a high goal count, with all of the last six head-to-head meetings seeing over 2.5 goals scored. Similarly, five of the last six clashes have seen BTTS occur.
Chelsea, on the other hand, come into this game amidst a rut. The Blues have lost six of their last seven games and pressure from the fans is mounting on Liam Rosenior. Blues fans have (rightly) been protesting against the club's ownership - and anyone else in a position of authority - which seems to be souring the mood around Stamford Bridge.
Eight of Chelsea's last ten games have seen over 2.5 goals scored so we expect this one to be a high-scoring encounter, but with Brighton willing all of the last three head-to-head meetings between the sides, we expect them to come out on top here.
Brighton 2-1 Chelsea
