Manchester City hope to keep the pressure on league leaders Arsenal as they take on Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend.
Chelsea come into this game 6th in the league table with 48 points from 31 games. The Blues have endured a difficult campaign and are desperately battling for a top five finish in order to secure Champions League football for next season.
Their form heading into this game is poor, with four defeats from their last five games, with their only win coming against Port Vale in the FA Cup. As such, pressure is starting to build on manager Liam Rosenior.
Their games are often high scoring, with four of their last five outings in the league seeing both sides find the back of the net, while seven of their last eight in all competitions have seen over 2.5 goals scored.
Man City, meanwhile, enter this game amidst a more positive atmosphere having claimed two big wins recently. After beating Arsenal in the League Cup final to claim the first trophy of the season, Pep Guardiola's side hammered Liverpool 4-0 in the FA Cup last eight at the weekend.
Like Chelsea, City's games are often high-event, with six of their last ten producing over 2.5 goals. Their recent head-to-head record against Chelsea is also excellent, with no defeats in 12 games against the West London club. Erling Haaland is coming into the game off the back of a hat-trick, taking him to 30 goals for the season, so he'll feel primed to go on a strong goalscoring run.
Given the recent form of both teams, the outlook heavily favours the visitors.
Chelsea 1-3 Manchester City
